Yum Sauce

The classic yum sauce is served by the resturaunt chain Cafe Yum that spawned out of Eugene Oregon. This recipe is a knock-off that doesn’t taste all that much like official Yum sauce, but it tastes good still and can be used in placement of the actual stuff. This recipe is my own variant of this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup avocado oil (prefered), canola oil, or vegetable oil
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 can great northern beans
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 4 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 bushel fresh cilantro
  • 1 cup nutritional yeast

Preparation

  1. 1

Put all the ingredients into a large blender.

  2. 2

    Blend until smooth.

Add additional water and/or lemon juice to thin out the sauce if desired.

  3. 3

Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
